Work completed on Ashton Centre, Belfast
Energy saving works are now completed on the Ashton Centre in North Belfast. The works included replacement aluminium double glazed windows and an insulated render cladding with a monocouche external render to the existing brick walls. These improvements are the result of priorities listed in energy audits that the Ashton Centre commissioned.
As a central community hub the Ashton Centre is reducing its carbon footprint and by adopting viable energy saving systems that make the building sustainable and more cost effective is setting an good example for others to follow. The work was partly funded by the Big Lottery. Woodvale Construction worked closely with Donnelly O’Neill Architects to ensure that despite the cold and wet weather the work was completed to a very high standard and with the minimum of inconvenience to the Ashton Centre staff and tenants.
