St. Mary’s Church, Knockmoyle

Woodvale Construction has commenced work on the restoration of the Grade B1 listed St. Mary’s R.C. Church in Knockmoyle, County Tyrone.

The building is a detached double-height rendered Church, built c. 1860, with a three-stage stone entrance tower. Its layout is cruciform on plan with a single-story vestry to the south, and a single-storey entrance porch to the west and north.

The programme of works will include the re-rendering of the external facade; internal re-plastering; re-slating of the roof; internal refurbishment; internal and external painting and decoration.

The Church will remain in use throughout the duration of the works, and our Contracts Manager, Declan McCann, will work very closely with the Parish Priest and Integrated Design Team to ensure all church services are facilitated during the restoration works. Declan has planned and programmed the works to minimise disruption and to facilitate the needs of St. Mary’s Church and its Parishioners.

Robert Ewing, General Manager, stated: “This is another exciting restoration project for Woodvale Construction, and we look forward to working collaboratively with the Parish and the Integrated Design Team to successfully restore this Grade B1 listed Church.”
