The repair and renovation of St. Patrick’s Chapel, Dungiven rejuvenated this well-loved Chapel.

Key Features:

  • Construction of new internal reconciliation room
  • Structural roof repairs, including repair and replacement of existing roof timbers, existing timber trusses stripped to expose, additional roof insulation, grading and sympathetic repair/ replacement of existing slate roof with new natural slate. Installation of new rainwater goods
  • Restoration, repair and repointing of external stonework including removal of external plaster & old paint from existing stone reveals, arches and columns. Removal of existing storm glazing subsequent re-fix to existing positions after the completion of stone repairs
  • Stain glass repairs
  • Interior refurbishment including removal of the existing tile floor finishes, provision of new levelling screed and new amtico flooring. Pews were adjusted for length, new kneelers provided, pews cleaned down and re-fixed to floor
  • A new alter layout including new sanctuary furniture, works were completed with new art work
  • Extensive external & internal paint and decoration
  • Full Mechanical & Electrical strip out and subsequent new M&E installation 
  • Associated siteworks with drainage modifications, paving and landscaping
