Four-Term Service Contract for Education Authority Western Region
Woodvale Construction Company has been successfully carrying out facilities management services within the Educational Sector for almost 40 years. These works previously involved routine maintenance to existing school buildings for the WELB and in its current guise is now a Term Service Contract for Maintenance and Minor Works for the Education Authority, which we have been successfully delivering since 2015. This current contract encompasses over 150nr educational properties within the Tyrone & Fermanagh Area.
As part of our commitment to this contract, the firm has invested significantly in staff, equipment and facilities management software in order that a quality service, in line with the company’s reputation, is delivered to the Education Authority. Our dedicated Facilities Management Services division has been specifically structured to provide this service and is managed by experienced Contract and Project Managers who strive to meet the needs and daily challenges demanded by these contracts. Consistently high KPI’s scores and the fact this contract has been extended, highlight this commitment to excellence.
In addition to the routine and emergency maintenance aspect of this contract, minor works also fall within the scope of the works and have included the following types of projects:
- Roof replacements
- Window replacement schemes
- Kitchen refurbishments which incorporate specialist kitchen installations sourced through our supply chain
- Toilet refurbishment schemes
- Decoration works
- Enabling works such as site clearance, drainage and hard surfaces
- Demolition and alterations works
- Asbestos surveys and removals in conjunction with our specialist team members
- Alterations to existing office facilities
- Fire risk works
A large number of these minor works project are designed in house in conjunction with professional consultants engaged by us through our supply chain. These services include, submitting planning applications, liaising with Building Control and statutory providers, site management and interaction with all key stakeholders including school management and staff.
Due to the nature of Term Service Contracts, our Facilities Management Division is flexible in the delivery of works, often completing outside normal working hours when required, in order to remove the health and safety risk associated with such works. Equally, our Access NI accredited team can work dynamically in live environments in order to facilitate business as usual for our Clients.
