The roof was constructed of Kingspan Kingzip insulated standing seam roofing system complete with powder coated flashings. The specification also included for Coxdome roof lights, Alumasc rainwater goods. Internal finishes included softwood joinery with gloss finish, flush prefinished veneer doors, wall tiling, floor coverings – marmoleum and pvc sheet and carpet.

The building encompasses extensive aluminium windows, providing high levels of natural light and views of Lough Erne. As a design feature the front wall was finished in natural stone.

Key Features:

  • This site had a very restricted access, with a large public car park on one side and playing fields on the other side. The car park presented many challenges in terms of traffic management, however through meticulous planning we were able to stay within our site boundary and minimise disruption to the users of the car park
  • Along with the restricted site we had a very restricted site compound area. This required Just in Time deliveries
  • The adjacent Council owned playing fields remained fully accessible to the community during the construction of Fermanagh House
