Belfast City Cemetery Heritage Visitor Centre
Work has commenced on site for the Belfast City Cemetery Heritage Visitor Centre.
The works include construction of a new purpose-built, permanent Visitor Centre on the site of the existing Service Yard comprising of bespoke brick, featured glazing & Rheinzinc Patina line zinc ‘flat look’ in diagonal arrangement to new roofs and centre building encapsulated with granite walls & woven stainless steel fencing.
Clarke Restoration & Metalcast N.I. Ltd have been appointed to undertake significant heritage restoration of Grade B1 listed classical Victorian stonework & wrought Iron works.
The Cemetery is a historic landmark, dating back to 1869 – it is the resting place of many of the city’s great and good.
The project is progressing onsite and is scheduled to be completed in 2021.
